LUKE GRAHAM - Head of Academy

Qualifications: - Uefa A License, FA Youth Award, BA Hons degree in Professional broadcasting and writing, Level 4 lecturer

Luke started his football career with premier league side Leicester City before signing a professional contract with Northampton Town. He went on to represent Forest Green Rovers, Kettering Town, Mansfield Town, York City, Luton Town and Hereford United. After winning the FA Trophy with Brackley Town, Luke rejoined the poppies where he is currently our club captain. Internationally, he has also had extensive experience representing Great Britain, Wales and Ireland in youth football.

SEAN WILSON - Head of Education 

Qualifications: - BA Hons degree in Sports Science, Level 5 Diploma in education and training, Level 4 in education quality assurance.

Sean was a successful boxer in his youth competing in national competitions before embarking on a successful teaching career in Sport and further education. Sean has been in the teaching industry for over 10 years and taught many elite sports apprentices at the likes of Northampton Town, Northampton Saints and other sporting fields. His experience is invaluable in ensuring students get a first class education with us. 

Matt has over 8 years’ experience as a college lecturer. He has worked with sports students who have studied a range of courses including sports coaching degrees to gym instructing qualifications. He studied at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge and graduated with a degree in coaching for performance in football. Matts teaching career was a natural progression after he retired from professional football. At a young age Matt was part of the youth academy at his hometown club, Leicester City. Matt progressed through the levels at Leicester City from youth football, reserve football and finally making his first team debut at 19 years of age in a Premier League fixture away at Charlton. Matt made over 250 appearances in the football league, representing numerous clubs including Leeds Utd, Coventry City and Northampton Town. Upon retirement, Matt began coaching young footballers and also became assistant manager at step 4 Yorkshire based club Tadcaster Albion FC. Matt will not only be working as an academic tutor but will assist our coaching team in the development of our young footballers. 
Frankie is a UEFA qualified coach with 15 years' experience working in coaching and supporting roles in the UK and USA. Most notably, Frankie spent 10 years at Peterborough United coaching at various levels throughout their academy, and working with numerous young players who have gone on to sign professional and semi-professional contracts. Also at Peterborough, Frankie held the role of first team scout, responsible for the scouting of opposition analysis and player recruitment. Son of beloved football character Barry Fry, Frankie has a wealth of experience and insight from growing up in the game that he looks to pass on to the students he coaches. Frankie has a personalised coaching style, focusing on the individual development of each player as well as the teams.
Tom graduated with a first-class honour’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science before lecturing at University alongside studying for his Master’s degree in Sport Performance. He has over 5 years lecturing experience at both College and University level. Tom’s sporting background lies mainly in rugby; growing up in Wales and playing representative rugby from the Under 16s all the way to Youth. This included Welsh Youth, Welsh Academicals and Welsh Students. He signed Semi-Professionally at the age of 19 whilst at University and has played at National League level in English rugby for 11 years. Tom has over 11 years of industry knowledge in the health, fitness and coaching sector, working across multiple mediums in both private and public organisations. Alongside his University degrees, Tom also has current industry specific qualifications such as Level 3 Personal Training, Pre and Post-natal, Nutrition and GP Referral to name a few. Tom has also worked as part of a performance strength and conditioning team with top level athletes from the ages of 14-19.  With all the above experience, Tom will be working with our academy players on their strength and conditioning alongside his academic tutor role.
